Restaurant email list: 28,340 U.S. restaurants
Every restaurant here published its email on its own website, and that is where we read it. Each row has the restaurant's name, that email, its phone and street address, its website and the exact page the address was on, dated by our October 2026 scan. Which restaurants are in it, and which are not
This file holds 28,340 U.S. restaurants, and each one is here for the same reason: its own website shows an email address. Our Google Maps scan of October 2026 found the restaurant, read the address on its site, and kept the phone, street address, website and the exact page the email was on beside it.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics counts 632,336 private restaurants and other eating places in the first quarter of 2026 (preliminary). That makes this file about 4.5% of them: the restaurants that put a way to reach them on their own site, not every restaurant in the country.
How much of each state it reaches varies. Among states with 10,000 or more eating places, it is highest in Virginia (1,431 of 16,461, 8.7%) and lowest in California (1,342 of 81,044, 1.7%), the state with the most restaurants of all. The chart and the table below give every state.
12,677 of the addresses (45%) are free-mail inboxes such as Gmail or Yahoo that the restaurant itself publishes as its contact; the rest are on the restaurant's own domain. Both kinds are in the file, because both are what the restaurant asks its customers to write to.
The trade on the other end of the email
The National Restaurant Association projects $1.55 trillion in U.S. restaurant and foodservice sales for 2026, with real growth of 1.3%, and expects operators to add about 100,000 jobs, taking industry employment to 15.8 million.
Counted the narrower BLS way, food services and drinking places employed 12,393,000 people in September 2026 (preliminary, seasonally adjusted), and in restaurants and other eating places, this file's industry, the average weekly wage was $532 in early 2026. The Association's figures and the BLS figures measure different things, so they are not added together here.
Seven in ten restaurants are single-unit operations, by the Association's count.
What operators say they will spend on: in the Association's 2024 technology survey, 48% named point-of-sale systems as a spending priority (53% of limited-service operators, 43% of full-service), and promoting the restaurant online was the top focus, named by 64% of full-service and 62% of limited-service operators.
